Notice of Race 2006 Bristol A-Class Catamaran Association Tuesday Night Sailing Series April 18, 2006 to September 26, 2006Bristol Yacht Club, Bristol, Rhode Island Description of Event:Organizing Authority: Bristol A-Class Catamaran Association (BACA) - This series is officially sanctioned by BACA. BACA volunteers staff all series activities. BACA Membership is compulsory for participation in this series. Racing Rules: The races will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing, 2005-2008. Sailing Instructions: BACA Standard Sailing Instruction's shall apply. Courses: Standard USACA courses shall be used. Class Rules: Boats must conform to International A-Class Catamaran class measurement rules. Alternate Penalty: The 720 Degree Turns Penalty, Rule 44.2 described in The Racing Rules of Sailing, 2005-2008, shall be modified to 360 Degree Turns Penalty. Scoring Method: Low-Point Scoring System as written in The Racing Rules of Sailing, 2005-2008, Appendix A shall be used. Participant Requirements: Personal and Boat Liability Insurance is required. Advertising: Category C described in The Racing Rules of Sailing, 2005-2008, Appendix 1, shall apply. Boat Storage: Boat storage is available at the Bristol Yacht Club for BYC members only.
