Bristol A-fleet v The Gorge

Lars Guck, Ben Hall and Andrew Gaynor traveled to Cascade Locks, Oregon for the Acat North Americans, sailed on the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.

We did pretty well – Lars finished 2nd, Ben 3rd and Andrew 4th – it wasn’t the gear buster we anticipated (slogging extra rigs and gear 3000 miles!), but a great event.  Pete Melvin, coming hot off his World Championship win with his new A2 design won the event,  schooling the fleet on a downwind technique called “latering”.  Congrats Pete.
